Because of its enormous size as well as its unique and diverse geography, China has chosen to support both single- and multi-carrier broadcasts. While providing flexibility to local broadcasters to choose between the two transmission schemes, the standard introduces a considerable challenge for the receiver designers since it calls for the support of both.
Paco is Iberium's solution to this challenge. Paco uses Iberium's patent-pending Hyberium demodulator architecture which enables extensive reuse of hardware resources for frequency and time domain processing.
The product has been implemented in FPGA and silicon and is available for licensing.
